Adam O’Day’s mixed media paintings are inspired by architecture, landscape, and comic books. As a child O'Day was very interested in comic book illustration and studied illustration in college. In his paintings, he uses the same “scribbly” marks and “splattery” paint application techniques to re-represent familiar Boston “city-scapes.”
Adam O’Day received his BFA from The Art Institute of Boston in illustration and graphic design. O’Day’s work has been exhibited through out New England in galleries such as, Lot F Gallery, Boston, MA, The Zullo Gallery, Medfield, MA, and Out of the Blue Gallery, Cambridge, MA.
