Ali's beautiful and mysterious cloth paintings are each unique and delicately crafted pieces of art. Ali is a graduate of the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston and her work has been featured in this area for over twenty years. Her recent still lifes and landscapes are inspired by trips to Mexico and evoke a wonderful feeling of place and spirit. They are the subject of the book, Paintings of the Last Decade: Still Life, the second in a series of publications on the artist; the first exploring her successful circus-themed works, entitled Beyond the Big Top: The Cloth Paintings and Graphic Works. Her work can be found in public institutions in New England, New York, Kansas City, Canada, Israel, and Bali.
