Chris Churchill captures the luminosity of nature in his photographs. Enfolded in soft and revere light, trees bend and intertwine with one another. The artist works with multiple ranges and environments to draw from a transcendent glow that exists in nature, no matter what the scale. The composition and manipulation of light and contrast in Churchill’s black and white photographs develop a tangible sacredness that draws the viewer inside.
Churchill’s work is owned by many corporations, including Flywire Web Design, Boston Magazine, and Karmaloop Clothing Boutique. His work is represented by Michael Price Gallery, Boston, MA. Additionally, the artist has shown at Pennsylvania State University, University Park, PA, the Augusta Mental Health Institute, Augusta, ME, and the Atlantica Gallery, Camden, ME. The artist received First Place in the Ernst Haas Golden Light Awards for his landscape work.
