Talking will make it better! Most visitors appreciate the breadth of experience Museum Guides bring to exhibition and sculpture installation tours. Whether you want names, dates and places, or some gentle guidance to better understand what you’re seeing, DeCordova Museum Guides can help. All tours begin in the Museum Lobby and are free with Campus admission.
Guided Tours for Group Visits—General Information
School, youth, and community groups may schedule guided or self-guided tours of Museum exhibitions and the Sculpture Park. Four weeks' advance notice is required for scheduling guided tours. Guided tours can be arranged for groups of 8–80 persons and last for 45 minutes in length. One tour of either the Museum or the Sculpture Park is free with the cost of Campus admission ($12 per adult, $8 for children, students and seniors).
Museum Gallery Tours
Museum Tours are available Tuesday – Friday, 10 am – 3 pm, for grades 1–adult. Weekend tours by special request. A maximum of 40 students at a time is allowed in the Museum, and one chaperone per 10 students is required. This policy will be enforced by the Museum staff.
Sculpture Park Tours
Park tours take place from May through October, and are available Monday – Friday, 9:30 am – 3 pm, for grades 1–adult. Weekend tours by special request. A maximum of 80 students at a time is allowed, and one chaperone per 10 students is required.
Booking Guided Tours
To reserve a Guide for a tour, an advance deposit equal to one-half the cost of your group's admission is due two weeks prior to your visit. Balance is due the day of tour.
