Photographic of Children from the DeCordova Permanent Collection
Photography Study Space
ongoing
DeCordova’s collection of photography is numerically the largest category of the permanent collection, with now over 1200 images. The collection has grown substantially over the last twenty-five years through the generosity of donors and artists, as well as through Museum purchase. Many of the works selected for this exhibition and in the collection as a whole were the generous gifts of Arlette and Gus Kayafas.
The show includes images from the 1940s through 2006 and features artists such as: Harold Edgerton, Sheron Rupp, Dana Salvo, and Matthew Swarts.
The exhibition is on view in the Photography Study Space.
