Bruce Barry
Bruce Barry has been an asset to the DeCordova Museum School Ceramics department since 1997. He is very knowledgeable in the art of ceramics both technically and art historically. His teaching style is demonstrative and encourages individual experimentation and personal growth. His own pieces are organic, vessel-like ceramics with painted on writings declared as journal entries.
Bruce Barry is a studio arts graduate from Bates College with advanced coursework in ceramics, etching, drawing, and painting. He was chosen as a finalist for a Massachusetts Cultural Council Crafts Grant in 2007, and his work can be viewed on their website gallery at mcc.org. He has been a DeCordova Museum School instructor since 1997.
