Karen Gaudette
“Trained as a printmaker and supporting myself in part as a professional artist and illustrator, I incorporate my experiences as an artist when designing curriculum. While the lessons that I create are structured with attention focused in part on technique, there is still room for creative exploration. I believe that it is essential to teach students basic skills and concepts, while providing them with the vocabulary with which to successfully express themselves.” Gaudette’s formal education includes a BFA in printmaking from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and a Post BA certificate in Early Childhood also from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Gaudette has been an instructor at DeCordova Museum School since 2003.
