During the last several years, her work has been exhibited at the Cornell Art Museum, Delray Beach, Florida, Mulvane Art Museum, Topeka, Kansas, and the Whistler Art Museum, Lowell, MA. Joan has taught printmaking, drawing, mixed media and a variety of collage classes. She says of her teaching, "I love to work with a range of students from beginners who need to be shown that they can be an artist to advanced students who want to take new risks with their work. The wider the mix of students in my class the more dynamic and exciting the learning and sharing!" She has been teaching at the DeCordova Museum School since 1999.
