Guidelines for artwork submission
Decordova reviews artwork by New England contemporary artists for possible future exhibition and/or collection opportunities. If you are not an artist living in any of the six New England states, please do not send an artist's package.
If you are interested in exhibiting outdoor sculpture in the Sculpture Park, follow guidelines in the Sculpture Park section of the Web site.
For indoor work, please follow these guidelines:
- Do not send original artwork under any circumstances
- Do send:
- a sheet of slides (20), prints, or high-quality color photocopies
- your resume
- an artist statement
- other supporting materials/reviews of exhibitions
- a self-addressed stamped envelope for the return of the materials
Guidelines for submitting digital images for review:
- DeCordova only has PC systems. Please format all images, CDs, and disks for the PC
- DeCordova accepts jpg, PDF, and tif files. If you are sending tifs, please make sure they are saved for PC
- Include labeling information for all images with notes on color if appropriate. Color printouts may be included with disk
- If sending a video or movie, please save file as a QuickTime movie or .mov file for the PC

- You will be mailed a postcard receipt once your slides arrive.
- You will receive a letter once we have reviewed your materials.
- Slide reviews happen about every 3–4 months. Please be patient—we receive numerous artist packages every day.
