"Sticks and Stones: The Benefit!"
DeCordova's Annual Benefit and Auction

Saturday, May 31, 2003, from 5:30 to 11:30 pm

LINCOLN, MA-Join DeCordova for an evening of fine art, delightful dining, swing dancing, and spirited bidding at DeCordova's Annual Benefit and Auction on Saturday, May 31 from 5:30 to 11:30 pm. Guests can enjoy an evening full of exciting events-including a cocktail reception, dinner, live and silent auctions, desserts, and dancing-or they can select to participate in just part of the evening's program.

Dinner guests and party-goers alike will have the opportunity to bid on a wide selection of items during the Silent Auction, which will take place throughout the evening in the Museum galleries. Top quality artwork, wearable art, jewelry, gourmet food, and decorative crafts are just some of the more than 250 items of all values awaiting your bid. All those who attend will also enjoy delicious hors d'oeuvres and desserts catered by East Meets West, as well as live music from Eight to the Bar to dance the night away.

Dinner and Live Auction
At 5:30 pm, Patron and Sponsor guests will begin their evening with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres as they enjoy the extraordinary artwork that surrounds them. At 6 pm, a fine dinner will be served under an elegant canopy tent. During dinner, Karen Keane-the charismatic CEO of Skinner, Inc.-will auction a variety of select items, including contemporary art, vacations, and other unique goods and services. Diners will also be treated to a high-energy comic interlude by a troupe of surprise guests. After the Live Auction, Patron and Sponsor guests can join the Gala Party and place their bids for the Silent Auction items.

Dress is black tie and tickets are limited. Tickets for this black-tie event with a formal sit-down dinner and Live Auction are $175 and $500 per person. This price includes admission to the Gala Party and Silent Auction immediately following.

Gala Party and Silent Auction
Beginning at 8 pm, Gala Party guests will dance the night away to the music of Eight to the Bar while sampling a wide array of hors d'oeuvres and desserts courtesy of East Meets West. In between the dining and dancing, guests can place their bids on over 250 silent auction items-ranging from contemporary art to jewelry to gourmet dinners.

Dress is black tie or creative black tie. Tickets for the Silent Auction alone-which includes hors d'oeuvres, dessert, music, and dancing-are $75 per person (or save with six tickets for $420).

Proceeds from DeCordova's Annual Benefit and Auction support the Museum's innovative exhibition and educational programming, which reach nearly 150,000 New England adults and children each year.
