Sculpture Park Discovery Day

Saturday, October 8, 2005,
noon – 4 pm
Rain or shine! No pets please!

Join us for an informative and fun-filled afternoon in the Sculpture Park! Tour the Park, meet artists whose work is currently on view outdoors, experience a guided drawing activity with a DeCordova faculty member, create a telephone wire sculpture, engage in Body Sculpture, and much more!

The schedule of the day includes:

noon – 4 pm create your own wire sculpture
noon – 4 pm guided drawing with DeCordova faculty member Joy Dai Buell at Cosimo Cavallaro’s sculpture Knots
noon – 4 pm body sculpture led by DeCordova’s Department of Education staff members
1 and 2 pm Sculpture Park tours (meet at the Museum’s front steps
1 – 3 pm meet and talk with artist George Greenamyer at his sculpture Monument to Frustration and Low Achievement
1 – 3 pm live sculpture by TEN31 Productions, Inc. www.ten31productions.com
1:30 – 3:30 pm meet and talk with artist Carol Spack at her sculpture Bark Balls
Ongoing and on your own Sculpture Park bingo and Sculpture Park scavenger hunt

The Museum will be open, and admission is included in your ticket price. For your convenience, The Summer Café and The Café @ DeCordova will be open as well.

Ticket prices for this event are:

Members: $5 in advance and $7 on the day of the event
Non-Members: $12 in advance and $15 on the day of the event
Ages 2 and under are free.
