Laura Evans is a prolific artist whose work ranges from mixed media, works on paper, and sculpture. Her works on paper have a whimsical style that transports the viewer into a childlike realm by mimicking a child’s youthful and elementary style of drawing.
The artist received her MFA in studio teaching at Boston University in 1981, and continued her studies at The British Institute & The American Center for the Arts in Paris, France. She has been in numerous solo and group exhibitions throughout New England. In 1988 she was awarded the Juror’s Award at the Grove Street Gallery, Worcester, MA. The artist is part of many private collections including Biogen, Boston, MA, Fidelity Investments, Boston, MA, and the Boston Public Library.
