About the Museum School

The DeCordova Museum School is the largest non-degree granting studio art program in Massachusetts. Programs include calligraphy, drawing, painting, watercolor, mixed media, digital photography, printmaking, ceramics, jewelry & silversmithing, book arts and sculpture.

DeCordova students start as young as 5, and with the Museum’s lifelong learning emphasis, can study with us for years. Classes for beginners are just that, but the School offers an informal syllabus similar to more formal art schools that can take you through a broad range of foundation programs into advanced master classes. Happening at the School

Fall 2010

Member registration begins Monday, August 9. Open registration begins Wednesday, August 18. Early registration and new student discounts are available, please see page 2 of the online catalog for full details.

Please make note of the following course updates:

• DRW106 Dynamics of Color with Liz Roache will be held on Wednesdays from 9:30 am   12:30 pm
• PAI102 Painting Foundations with Maria LaCreta will be $345 for members and $390 for non-members
• PAI105 Technical Oil Painting with Kat O'Connor will be held on Fridays from 1:30   4:30 pm
• PAI202 The Intensive Thinking Hand will he taught by Courtney Jordon, please view her website at http://www.courtneyjordan.net/.
• MTL201 Jewelry Explorations Intensive with Sarah Nelson will held on Wednesdays from 9:30 am   2:30 pm
