Steven Bogart uses the combination of oil and rustoleum paints in a variety of consistencies to achieve complex abstractions. He finds inspiration from nature, cosmology, physics, biology, music, and surrealism. His work is an ongoing exploration of spontaneous intricacies, chaos, and thought. Each painting is an emotional experience in capturing something beautiful and surprising.
Bogart t received his BFA in painting from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, his MA in theater from Emerson College, and his MFA in creative writing from the University of New Orleans. Bogart was included in the exhibition The Big Bang: Abstract Painting for the 21st Century at deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum. He has shown in numerous galleries including, Locco Ritoro Gallery, Boston, MA and Artspace Gallery, Maynard, MA.
