Steven Muller’s abstract paintings are characterized by vertiginous brushstrokes that unbalance the viewer. Starkly contrasting bright colors with negative space, Muller creates energetic and expressive minimalist works that, despite their abstraction, have a narrative tone.
Muller received a BA in fine arts from Franklin Pierce College, Rindge, NH. He has been endowed with Fellowships by both New England Foundation for the Arts and the National Endowment For The Arts. The artist’s work has been collected by DuPont Company, Wilmington, DE, Bank of New Hampshire, and the Boston Public Library. He has shown extensively in the New England area in such galleries as Stebbins Gallery, Cambridge, MA, LynnArts, Lynn, MA, Bernard Toale Gallery, Boston, MA, and Boston Center for the Arts.
