Influenced by time spent in Europe, Susan Nichter often creates paintings that contain elements of classical architecture. Her brightly colored pieces tell stories that are rooted in the artist’s struggle with women’s issues. Her paintings read like narratives and hold the viewer’s attention through their mysterious and intriguing stories.
A graduate of Boston University, Nichter has pieces in numerous collections, including Suffolk University and Fidelity Investments. She has taught at the Art Institute of Boston, Boston University,and the Rhode Island School of Design, Providence, RI.
