Susan Zimmerman’s skill as a collage artist stems from her ability to see and appreciate beauty found in everyday objects. Through a variety of techniques including collage, photocopy transfer, and photography, Zimmerman reveals her artistic proficiency. Drawn to the color and textural qualities of objects, Zimmerman intends to allow her viewer "access to the ordinary" and give the viewer the opportunity to interpret a familiar object in a new way.
The artist received a BA from Smith College, Northampton, MA. She has shown at a number of institutions, including the Photographic Resource Center, Boston, MA and the Cambridge Art Association.
